Helmut Lang painter denim from the original S/S1998 collection (see tags), which has been washed, stained, sanded, and distressed to achieve its irreproducible worn-in look that sneers at attempts at re-editioning. The paint "splatters" are screenprinted on in white, khaki, and black using a durable rubber-based paint that have easily withstood over two decades of wear.
The jeans are based on the 1947 Levi's 501XX model, which feature five pockets and metal rivets which reinforce the garment. I am quite fond of this particular pair, which is just beginning to blur the line between intentional and unintentional distressing.

Condition:
In great condition with almost all factory original distressing. The crotch is still sturdy. Only signs of user wear I have identified are the split knees, as well as weathering under the right back pocket and on the third buttonhole. Wear on the tags are mostly from the factory sanding and distressing process. Please refer to photos for more detail.
