Rick Owens S/S2008 "Federacy" tee in the rarer long-sleeve iteration from the DRKSHDW line, made from 100% cotton. The graphic is inspired by an abstracted version of the American flag and the official colorway is "dark shadow," which reads in person as a chocolatey gray.
It's an insanely constructed tee with details that often go unnoticed. You may notice that the graphic is off-center; well, the back seam is equally asymmetrical, starting at the center of the neck and ending at the bottom left, as if the flag graphic has been translated around that curved back seam as its center axis. The seams on the sleeves are equally asymmetrical, beginning at the armpits and ending at the center of each wrist.
Otherwise, the tee features the signature logo tail/tag, which is attached to the inner left shoulder and peeks through the bottom of the shirt, swaying as one walks. The cuffs are ribbed. The fit is classically Rick--slim and longline, slightly oversized, and with elongated sleeves.
