The infamous Helmut Lang prisoners in a rare size from 1999. Quite the ingenious variation of Helmut's striped garments, where one or several stripes adorn coats, denim jackets, and shirting. Here, however, they run across the entire pant to achieve the effect of a prisoner's pant, which would thereafter be copied by brands like Kapital.
The off-white stripes have been applied all throughout the densely woven cotton jeans. You will notice along the seams that the stripes have deliberately been mismatched to break up the pattern. I've found that each pair is one-of-a-kind and mismatched slightly differently. The fit of the jeans (medium rise, narrow straight leg) are classic for Helmut and truly flatter the body.
