A hidden gem from Raf Simons SS2015, an almost autobiographical show which took inspiration from the designer's own upbringing, inspirations, and sources of gratitude.
Each photo collage from this collection's garments is inextricably tied to Raf's personal sense of self. Supposedly the oil rig on this sweatshirt represents environmental destruction, while elements of Japanese culture relate to Raf's gratitude to Japanese customers and retailers for supporting him in his early years; however, I find more meaning by not reading into the images too literally.
This particular crewneck was only released to limited retailers at the time and very difficult to track down today. It is made of a luxe cotton jersey fabric with a durable vinyl print overlaid. The fit is a bit slimmer but longline, a flattering silhouette.

Great condition, no noticeable flaws other than that the neckline has gotten a bit looser, and that there is slight wear on the vinyl print.
